The UK’s National Space Centre is home to an ‘’out of this world’ weather pod. Working alongside the NSC’s in-house designers we helped to create a bespoke green screen video booth experience that gives visitors a chance to star in their own futurist weather report.

Visitors simply scan their attraction entry ticket inside the to booth to start their experience. The animated news anchor, Brook Anderson, guides visitors through their rehearsal and recording, with three different weather broadcasts to star in. Each scenario features its own script, video content and storyline.

Our VideoBooth software is responsible for the six different display screens along with controlling the themed audio and lighting within the booth.

Outside of the weather pod a second screen shows onlookers a live preview of the recording and autocue. Immediately after recording is complete, each video is automatically edited and ‘broadcast’ on large screens outside the booth.

Guests can redeem their weather report by scanning their ticket on one of the two share stations located next to the booth. Here guests can choose to share their video by email, Facebook or Twitter.

Weather reports are presented online as part of a branded microsite, with hosting, delivery, moderation and analytics all provided by our online delivery platform.
